Black Cat White Paws, Mark McNease

I really enjoyed this Mystery. The kitty was a fun part in it too. I voluntarily chose to review this story and I've given it a 4.5* rating. This was a pretty interesting mystery with lots of twists and turns and plenty of suspects to go around. Maggie is one brave gal and likes to get answers to her questions. Since she is a widow, she can't seem to wait around for others to get to the bottom of it. Plus the Black kitty with white paws wants to be her friend. Alright, it likes her to feed him but much more.Had this finished for a couple days but had no phone or internet for 5 and 1/2 days. I want to read more of this author's work.

Mail Order Brade and The Heart Touching Twin Trap, Mist Shae

I enjoyed this clean Historical Romance. I voluntarily chose to review this story and I've given it a 4.2* rating. This was a little different in that it was told in a man's point of view. It showed so clearly how he has no clue about women. It was also interesting and a little funny to read his thought process. This is Book 1 of a set of 41 Pure Read Clean Reads books by various authors so I'm on to the next.

The Case of the Homeless Pup, J A Menzies

I enjoyed this mystery and I voluntarily chose to review this story. I've given this a 4* rating. While this is not my favorite type of mystery, it had some interesting bits in it. It was basically a Cold Case Mystery. And it all started with a stray puppy.

The Cowboy Who Got Away, Nancy Robards Thompson

My Fair Fortune (The Fortunes of Texas: Cowboy Country) - Nancy Robards Thompson

I enjoyed this cowboy romance, however I felt there were a lot of mixed signals. I received this as a gift and voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating. First of all, I can understand how there were a lot of mixed signals. By the end, I could understand part of the why. There was a lot happening on the sidelines. They let each other get away once, would they let it happen again? It was a interesting ending.

A Muddied Murder, Wendy Tyson

A Muddied Murder - Wendy Tyson

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. I received this as a gift and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. This story pulled me in and kept tugging me on just to find out what next. Lots of characters to suspect. This had me guessing till the end.

A Marriage for the Marine, Liz Isaacson

review this story and I've given it a 4.7* rating. It pulled me in pretty quickly and had to find out what happens. It was a pretty quick read and since I couldn't use the internet, I had more time to read. A nice, feel good story at the end. Warning, heroine is a perky person.

Bear Witness To Murder, Meg Macy

Bear Witness to Murder - Meg Macy

I absolutely loved this cozy mystery. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.7* rating. This story quickly pulled me in and I needed to know what would happen next.It sure didn't seem like a quiet little town. How far would you go to get even with someone you thought had done you wrong.

Love Is Kind, Ruby Hill

I really enjoyed this clean second chance romance. I received this arc for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.7* rating. This story pulled me in from the beginning. I really felt for this heroine in this story. How hard to go on after many disappointments. Very nice ending.

Temple of the Jaguar, J M Hudson

I absolutely loved this romantic suspense. I received this arc for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. Wow, that's the feeling I had when I finished this. It was full of action and a touch of romance. It really kept me guessing till near the end. Plenty of bad or not so good guys throughout and I could almost feel the heat from this small Mexican town. Looking forward to more of this author's work.

Room On The Porch Swing, Amy Clipston

Room on the Porch Swing - Amy Clipston
I really enjoyed this Amish Romance but it was so much more. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. Folks, this was a tear jerker, so you might want to have tissues handy. This pulled me in from the beginning and just kept pulling at my heart strings. The issue of spouse loss is addressed heavily in this story but also about moving on. This is one of the best Amish stories I've read. A good job.

Marrying A Billionaire, Anne-Marie Meyer

I really enjoyed this Fake Marriage Romance. I received this ARC book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating. This story tore at the heart strings. Warning, this story is about miscarriages as the center of the story. However this gusty heroine, full of hormones, goes along with the idea of the fake marriage. However, the baby has other ideas to throw into the mix. It does have a happy ending.

Lady Justice and The Black Widow, Robert Thornhill

This was an interesting murder mystery. It's given from the viewpoint of the serial killer who called herself the Black Widow. I received this story for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4* rating. I thought it was a little different by being from the killer's point of view and a private detective's point of view. It took a while to realize it was jumping back and forth between the two. It disturbed me a little bit how little remorse she had. The ending was a bit shocking as well.

A Rebel Heart, Beth White

I enjoyed this Historical Romance. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I gave this a 4.5* rating. This story pulled me in from the beginning and kept tugging me along throughout. There were lots of characters to like and a couple not so much. This mostly dealt with post civil war, a few years out and some of the feelings still felt to this day. Let's face it, some people just do not deal well with change, big or small. That's something the Civil War did. Some people are still waiting on those changes. Except for some violence, this is a pretty clean read. And if I didn't get migraines, I would have read this faster. I thought this dealt with those civil war and after issues well. Dealing with one person at a time is sometimes all we can do. But that is enough if that is all we can do.

James Mail Order Bride, Emmi West

I enjoyed this Mail Order Bride Romance but wish it was a little longer. I received this book for free and voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating. I must say that this is the only English version of her books I've found so far. She has several in German. It has a very sweet ending. The author explored a few mixed feelings at having to be a mail order bride.

The Pursuit of Happiness, Jennifer O'Neill

The Pursuit of Happiness: 21 Spiritual Rules to Success - Jennifer O'Neill

This was an easy to read self help book that I received for free. I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4* rating. I will say that you need to want to do this for this success to happen. Many of the suggestions are very common sense but not necessarily easy to follow. For someone who wants to work at this, this would be a real good starting point.

Bono, Helen Brown

I enjoyed this reflective story of a rescued cat. But it is so much more. I received this ARC copy for free and voluntarily chose to review it. I think the cat and Helen in the story did some healing for each other. I've given it a 4.5* rating and miss my own kitties more. Helen is a breast cancer surviver, who needed some me time as well. Watching Bono in his daily activities, gave her reflective time and examples of living for today. I was touched in many ways as this story evolved. This is basically a clean read.
