Dead Insider (Loon Lake Mystery) - Victoria Houston

I really enjoyed this mystery. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. This really grabbed me and took me for a ride from the beginning. I was up late two nights, putting it down only to pick it back up, just wanting to know more. The victim was compeling only for a short while at the beginning. But the clues were steady, showing more than one suspect. Really want to read more of her work. Because of the violence, not for the under 18 readers.

Reckless In Texas, Kari Lynn Dell

Reckless in Texas - Kari Lynn Dell

I really enjoyed this Western Romance that centered around Rodeo's. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I gave it a 4.5* rating. Between the frequent encounters with danger and attempts at normal lives, this book pulled me in. Lots of animals to color this story around these hard working, living on the edge type work of running rodeo's as a family business. I had a couple of late nights or should I say early mornings reading this. Not really for the under 18 readers.

Murder At the Barbeue, Liz Turner

This was an enjoyable cozy mystery, in a no frills sort of way. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I gave it a 4 * rating.I like the heroine, who seems to like to solve mysteries but slow on the uptake in the romance department. She also has a puppy who seems to be in the middle of the investigations. This was pretty lighthearted as far as murder mysteries goes.

My Friend Flicka, Mary O'Hara

My Friend Flicka - Mary O'Hara, Dave Blossom

I now know why this is such a classic. This one goes straight to the heart. I voluntarily chose to review this. I've given it a 5* rating. For any horse lover, this will be a tough one on your heart. There are some tragic parts where horses are hurt or die. However, the love of a boy for his horse is more intense. So keep the tissues handy when you read this

Mail Order Bride: Rebuilding: A Sweet and Clean Love Story (A Kansas Mail Order Bride Story Book 10) - Annie Boone

I really enjoyed this clean Western Romance. I voluntarily chose to review it and I give it a 5*rating. I thought this was a good example of verbal abuse and showed how it can be destructive to a persons spirit. And I loved this heroine for finally standing up for herself and doing something about it. Although she struggles, she gets the chance to leave that type of surrounding. Lots to enjoy about this story.

Redemption's Edge, Shirleen Davies

Redemption's Edge: Book 1, Redemption Mountain Historical Western Romance - Shirleen Davies

I really enjoyed this Western Romance. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I give it a 5* rating. This was filled with action and romance from beginning to end, to the last page. I really enjoy this author's writing and look forward to reading more of her work. I was hooked at the beginning and had to keep reading to find out the ending, only there is a little cliffhanger at the end. Good thing this is a series. This was set a short while after the civil war and there is a lot of woundedness to spread around. The hero and the heroine had some figuring out to do as they got to know each other. You could almost feel the love healing them. Because of the violence, not suitable for the under 18 readers.

Sweet Lake, Christine Nolfi

Candy Crumble, Shannyn Leah

Candy Crumble: A Lakeshore Candy Novella - Shannyn Leah

I have mixed feelings about this one. I received this book for free and voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4* rating. The Hero and the heroine both are living on the edge. This is just the prelude so it has an unusual ending. Not quite a cliff hanger but still unsettled. Not for the under 18 readers.

I have a little problem with this illness, my mother had this and it was a big mirecle she survived after 4 years. Nice ending.
