Montana Bride for Christmas, LInda Ford

Montana Bride by Christmas (Big Sky Country #4) - Linda Ford

I really enjoyed this Love Inspired Historical romance. It pulled me in from the beginning. I bought this from a school yard sale and I voluntarily chose to review it. This pulled me in from the beginning and held on tight throughout. Just kept wanting to know what would happen next. This also touched the heart from the beginning. Not sure exactly how this child was treated but he was loved by his father who finally found him. Add a lost puppy into this mix and it was a great story. I rated this clean story 5*.

Highlander's True Love, Donna Fletcher

I enjoyed this short romance. I voluntarily chose to review this short story. It was interesting but was too centered on sex. The story lost some of it's appeal but addressing being mute brought some other things to light. While not for the under 18 readers, it was a little different.

Phoebe's Light, Suzanne Woods Fisher

Phoebe's Light (Nantucket Legacy) - Suzanne Woods Fisher
I enjoyed this part of the Nantucket Legacy. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating. As long as you can keep the journal part straight from the story, it goes pretty fast. There is some adventure and not some nice parts to whaling. There is also a little bit of mystery in this. What a lonely life for some of these families.

You and No Other, Cynthia Wright

You, and No Other - Cynthia Wright

I really enjoyed this historical romance although this is not really for the under 18 readers. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given this a 4.5* rating. This one kept me guessing if they were going to make it as a couple. This one had a lot of action in it also to stir the chaos in this relationship. This author was very descriptive of areas and dresses in this point of time so you could almost see the settings. A very enjoyable read.

Midnight Marriage, Lucinda Brant

Midnight Marriage: A Georgian Historical Romance - Lucinda Brant

I really enjoyed this historical romance. I voluntarily chose to review it and I've given it a 4.5* rating. This story pulled me in from the first and kept me interested the whole time. There was a bit of back and forth on the hero and heroine but once it's straightened out, other factors took over. Nice ending too.

Flying By the Seat of My Knickers, Eliza Watson

Flying by the Seat of My Knickers (The Travel Mishaps of Caity Shaw, Book 1) - Eliza Watson

I enjoyed this adventure of mishaps. Some are not born graceful as it appears to be with Caity Shaw. But when low self esteem is added to this, I really felt for this character. I received this for free and voluntarily chose to review it. I've given this a 4.5* rating and look forward to reading more of her adventures. This story addresses abuse in the mental form and how it can cause us to second guess ourselves. Add stalking by an ex and you can have a mess.

The Earl's Defiant Wallflower, Erica Ridley

The Earl's Defiant Wallflower - Erica Ridley

I really enjoyed this historical romance with a touch of humor. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 4.5* rating. This is not for the under 18 readers. I really adored the hero who tried not to helplessly fall in love with the heroine. Sometimes when you try to do the right thing, things will work out, just maybe not the way you thought. Anyway, it has a happy ending.

Like a Tree, Danny Pelfrey

I liked this murder mystery however, it did not grab my attention at the very beginning. This was a last in the series so it may have been better if I read the others first. To be honest, part of it may have been because I was dealing with a bad cold while I read this. Anyway, I received this for free and voluntarily chose to review this. I gave it a 4* rating. It did have a lot going on and I believed it tied up some lose ends. It was a clean read and if you don't mind a little bible scripture mixed in, it had a interesting ending.

MacFarland's Lass, Glynnis Campbell

MacFarland's Lass (Scottish Lasses) (Volume 1) - Glynnis Campbell

I enjoyed this historic Scottish Romance. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 4.5* rating. This is also book 2 in the Exclusive Jewels Vol 1. Because of violence and sexual content, this is not for the under 18 readers. Both the hero and the heroine hid some of what they were till the end. This had a lot of action and home remedies mixed in it along with the issues of what class they belonged to. A lot of history woven around this story.

No Ordinary Child, Darlene Graham

I really enjoyed this romance plus a lot about a special needs child. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 5* rating. This story swept me into it and before I knew it, I had a hard time putting it down. There are lots of points of interest and I kind of hated that it ended. It left me wanting to know more. Not sure this is for the under 18 group.

Chutes and Ladder, Marc Jedel

I really enjoyed this funny mystery. I received this for free and voluntarily chose to review it. This main character has a running fantasy of being a superhero. Although very intelligent, he rubs people the wrong way, escapes into his inner world way too much and has very few friends. Add a very large puppy, various family members and being overly optimistic, stir in murder and you get this very laughable mystery. I've given this clean mystery a 4.5* rating.

The Crusaders Bride, Claire Delacroix

I really enjoyed this historical romance. This took place in a part of history, that I have heard little about. I voluntarily chose to review this, and I've given it a 5* rating. This had a lot of things going on in this. This was when the English were not allowed to celebrate Christmas. The heroine called this in the story, a Christmas miracle.

Seeds of Revenge, Wendy Tyson

Seeds of Revenge - Wendy Tyson

I really enjoyed this mystery. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. This is the 3rd in the Greenhouse Mysteries Series. These seem to get better as I go along or it's just that I'm getting into the characters more. These could be read alone but I think you would enjoy them more if you read them in order. This was another hard to put down story. I read late into the next morning on this. It pulled me into the story fast. A lot of action in this one, coated with a lot of snow as you get closer to the holidays. It was well worth the read. (less)

Brooklynaire, Sarina bowen

Brooklynaire - Sarina Bowen

I enjoyed most of this romance except it was too erotic for my taste. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating and not for the under 18 readers. This was a pretty fast moving story centered around a hockey team and it's owners. It has a lot of sarcastic humor and the concerns about head injuries.

Bitter Harvest, Wendy Tyson

Bitter Harvest - Wendy Tyson

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. This second book in this Greenhouse Series pulled me in again to this small town setting with more dead bodies coming to light almost from the first. The very busy heroine puts her life on the line more than once, dragging friends and workers along with her. To mix the pot more, there is a community celebration bringing more strangers into town. This kept me guessing till the end, and wasn't who I thought it could be.

Under Heaven's Shining Stars, Jean Grainger

Under Heaven's Shining Stars - Jean Grainger

I liked this story but being a Christian, I had a lot of mixed feelings about this. This was a roller coaster of emotions type of story. Because of the violence in this, among other things, I would say this was not for the under 18 readers. Set in a not too distant past Ireland, it centered on three young boys and their pains and struggels growing up in a poorer part of town and the impact of going to a Catholic school. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review this. I've given it a 4.5* rating.
