Make-Believe Husband, Vivi Holt

I enjoyed this clean romance. I voluntarily chose to review this book. I've given it a 4.7* rating. Lots of sadness and joy in this story. Lots of ups and downs, with twists and turns to stir things up. I must admit I needed a hanky at the beginning but less as the story moves on.There was lots of things going on to keep me turning the page, late into the night. I liked the positive way the hero had and the way he approached things. And a real nice ending.

What Momma Left Behind, Cindy K. Sproles

I sort of enjoyed this story of way of life in the mountains and the hard times of living there. People were dying everywhere from a fever, sort of like now only there was no one to save the children after the parents died. Not a real fan of books like this written in the uneducated slang of the people there. But I understood it enough to understand the story. It was interesting, and the tale made vague pictures of the hard life. Made me more grateful of modern things like bathrooms even if we have a hard time finding toilet paper. I received this story for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I gave it a 4.5* rating. Not sure if this is out yet.

The Amish Girl, Grace Given

I enjoyed this short, clean romance. I've voluntarily chose to review this. I've given it a 4* rating. While I enjoyed this short story, I felt like it was only a part of a story. I must say, I was a little disapointed after reading many of this author's stories. The story did leave room to add to it at a later time if wanted.

My One True Cowboy, Soraya Lane

I enjoyed this romance between a broken warrior and a former friend. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. Add a broken warrior dog to it and it is even more endearing. There was a whole lot of hurting and healing going on in this story. While this is not for the under 18 readers, it does have a lot of heart in it and I love the way it all played out. I've given it a 4.5* rating, and encourage you to read how they worked their way through there problems.

Stockings, Wishes and Christmas Kisses, Victorine E Lieske

I enjoyed this set of 4 Sweet Christmas Romance, by 4 different authors. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review. All four authors, Victorine E Lieske, Tamie Dearen, Michelle Pennington, and Annie Houston, did a nice job on clean, sweet Christmas stories that were fairly short and interested in sweet relationships around Christmas. I liked the variety of situations and they lasted for a good evenings read. I've given it a 5*. These authors did a nice job.

Conflict of Interest, Aime Austin

Conflict of Interest (A Casey Cort Novel Book 4) - Aime Austin, Sylvie Fox

This was an intense murder or not story. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. Seen from the older officer and a short video clip from a security tape. This also has a lot of race questions in this. This also questions a lot of how this victim was treated after his arrest and the slow process of his not being charged after all, that all lead to his death. The ending was a surprise. The lawyer was fairly young and little experience in this type of criminal law and having some race issues in her personal life. So start reading this and let the games begin. I've given this a 4.5* rating.

Cutie Pies and Deadly Lies, Addison Moore

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. I voluntarily chose to review this. Between the heroine's being accident prone and her reaction to it, I laughed so hard, there were tears and I could almost see it happening. Of course there were sad moments too. I will be reading a lot more of this author. I just wanted to cheer her on.

The Traitor's Pawn, Lisa Harris

I enjoyed this sort of romantic suspense. There is almost continuous flowing action and a hard to guess whats going on at the first of this tense story involving two best friends from long ago. It was hard to put down, but had to get some sleep. There were lots of people to point fingers at since there were more than one bad guy. I gave this a 5* rating. There was a bit of violence in this. I'll be reading more of this author.

Special Agent Charli, Mimi Barbour

I enjoyed this murder romance story. I voluntarily chose to review it. This is not for the under 18 readers but it reads like a young adult type story. I liked that it didn't display a lot of blood and gore although it does have several murders. There is a lot going on in this story , action, romance, dealing with teenagers that sort of skirted around some issues. So it had a few chuckles to lighten up some of the seriousness. Some of the action was more like fantasy but all in all, a fun story about murder.

Reunited with the Sheriff, Lynne Marshall

I really enjoyed this romance. I received it for free and I voluntarily chose to review this. I've given this a 4.5* rating. This is not for the under 18 readers. I really felt for the hero but he was a little bit of a enabler telling her she could go for her dream and the heroine had it her way but wondered why she was all alone. It took a bit for each of them to figure this all out. For smart people, you just wonder. Read this to find out.

Two Steps Forward, Suzanne Woods Fisher

I enjoyed this Amish Romance.I received this copy for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating only because their story doesn't seem to be finished. I know this is part of a series and it addresses some heavy issues. One of the women is led to fight for the unborn lives. As someone who has worked to save the unborn, I understand the drive. As someone who has also lost three babies, I know how deep the sorrow goes from than. And from the healing of that, I understand that each human, from unborn to the elderly, must decide for themselves wheather to live or not. While in a woman's body, that baby has a soul that answers to a higher power. I realize not all agree, I also know that some who choose abortion, have to deal with depression also. If you agree or not, I also have the right to say what I believe. Unless you are responding to this book, do not respond.

Lady Danger, Sarah McKerrigan

I enjoyed this historical romance. I received this for free as part of Exclusive Jewels Vol 3 that I won. I've given this a 4.5* rating but not for the under 18 readers. Lots of action in this, some of it fun and part of it protecting their castle. This author has a touch of humor in her stories that keeps some situations becoming too heavy.I liked how these big women in this family learn to fight with swords and armor.

Gabby, Barby Keel

I received this interesting book about Barby Keel and a little dog she bonded with, for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4* rating. Her love and respect for animals are a large part of her little kingdom where she and her many volunteers care and heal many animals. She seems to have an instinctive knowledge of what many of these poor animals need. This is just a later chapter in her life with these animals. I think animal lovers will enjoy this.

On Eagles' Wings, Lynnette Bonner

I really enjoyed this Historical Western Romance with suspense threaded through it. I received it for free and voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. Not only was this a page turner, it had a lot of feels in it. When I think of our women rights, we have come a long way. We need to stand up for ourselves still but women did not always have choses when they were in a bad marriage. I'm thankful that we have some rights and avenues to go when there is a bad marriage. I'm also thankful for modern conveniences and medicines and the knowledge that goes with it for many things that killed our ancesters. This is a second in the series and I hope to get to the next soon. Nice job here.

Out of The Embers, Amanda Cabot

This book is to go live in March 2020.I enjoyed this Romantic Suspense. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. While I didn't have time to read this very fast, it wasn't because this book didn't keep me guessing and wondering what would happen next. There were a couple unexpected curves that happened that kept me wondering. Finally I stayed up way late this morning to finish this because the suspense was getting to me a little. I'll certainly be reading more of this author's work

The Captain's Bluestocking Mistress, Erica Ridley

The Captain's Bluestocking Mistress - Erica Ridley
I enjoyed this Regency romance. While I received this free as part of the Exclusive Jewels Vol 3, I voluntarily chose to review this. I've given this a 4.5* rating. This is not for the under 18 readers. The hero is a war bitter man and a heroine with a longtime crush on him. After much foolishness on the heroine's part, which were very brazen of her, and the antics of the demon cat, there was lots to keep turning the pages for.
